The short version
- Try every feature free for 7 days. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
- We remind you before your trial ends.
- After that, your plan renews until you cancel. Cancelling is online, takes a few clicks and has no fees.
- When you cancel, you keep using Sovona until your paid period ends. There are no refunds for change of mind.
- You keep everything you've made in Sovona, whatever happens to your plan.
Before you pay
Before you start a trial or buy a plan, we show you the plan, its price, how often you'll be charged, and the date of your first payment. Current prices for Sovona Local:
| Plan | US dollars | Australia (GST included) |
|---|---|---|
| Local, monthly | US$10 a month | A$15 a month |
| Local, yearly | US$96 a year | A$144 a year |
| Founders Lifetime (launch month only) | US$150 once | A$220 once |
The Cloud plan isn't available yet. We'll publish its price before it opens.
Free trial
- New customers get a 7-day free trial of Sovona Local with every feature.
- A valid payment card is needed to start it. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- We remind you in the app and by email 2 days before and on the day your trial ends.
- Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
- If you don't cancel, your chosen plan starts when the trial ends and the first payment is taken then.
- One free trial per person and per card.
How renewals work
- Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every year, on the same date you first paid.
- Each renewal is charged automatically to your card at the price you agreed to, until you cancel.
- Yearly plans cost less per month than paying monthly.
- A receipt is emailed for every payment, and all receipts are in the app under Account, then Manage billing.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
How to cancel
- Open Sovona and go to Account.
- Choose Manage billing.
- Select Cancel plan and confirm.
Account then shows the date your access ends. There are no cancellation fees, and you don't need to call or write to anyone. If you can't open the app, email support@getsovona.com from the email address you sign in with and we'll cancel it for you.
After you cancel
- Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. You won't be charged again.
- We don't refund the unused part of a month or year for change of mind. See the Refund Policy.
- Changed your mind? Reactivate before the period ends and nothing changes.
- Your notes, History and documents stay on your PC, and you can still open and export them after a plan ends.
Changing plans
- You can switch between monthly and yearly in Account, then Manage billing.
- The switch takes effect when your current period ends. A yearly plan runs to the end of its year and then continues as monthly; a monthly plan runs to the end of its month and then continues as yearly. You're never charged twice for the same time.
- The new price and the date it starts are shown before you confirm.
- You can buy Founders Lifetime during your trial while the launch offer is open. Your trial then ends and the subscription is never charged.
Founders Lifetime
Founders Lifetime, offered in the launch month to the first 500 people, is a single payment, not a subscription. It never renews and there's nothing to cancel. Once bought, there are no refunds for change of mind. See the Refund Policy.
Price changes
We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then. Price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll tell you in the app and by email so you can update your card. Stripe tries the payment again over the following days. If it isn't sorted, paid features stop at the end of the period. If you were offline when your plan renewed, paid features keep working for 7 days while Sovona checks in.
